2015 Liberty Cross Country

You wouldn't believe it, but just three years ago the Liberty Cross Country program had only 12 students on its roster. Last year, we had more than 50 students come out for the team. In 2015, the team is the largest in school history! Your support is what has helped make this team reach the heights it has presently.

We are looking forward to a wonderful season, but our program has started from scratch and we must fundraise for the following:

• SIX FLAGS DISCOVERY KINGDOM TEAM TRIP: Our funding helps raise the money to take team chaperones ALL 60 athletes for an amusement park wide scavenger hunt 9/12/15!
• ENTRY FEES: To pay for athlete and team entry fees to ALL invitationals through the season.  Each invitational costs around $200 each for the whole team.
• MORE UNIFORMS: As the team grows, we must continue to purchase more uniforms in order to suit up EVERY athlete. The team has increased 500% in the last three years (12 to 60)!
• TRAINING EQUIPMENT: To be a great runner, it takes more than just running. Specifically, the team would like to purchase foam rollers, medicine balls, Therabands (medium-heavy resistance), aquajogging belts, and even recovery supplements!
• MT. SAC VARSITY TRIP: Includes lodging and Disneyland tickets for varsity teams.

Here at Liberty, we look to shape students into better PEOPLE, not just athletes of sport. You see, it is what Cross Country is about, not what it is. It is the challenge that it presents that helps teach students that they can push past their limits and become greater than they thought they could. Which, in turn, shapes them into more confident and inspiring individuals!

We understand the ease of donating online, but we do prefer a check IF you are local and can hand it in to the team because we can avoid being charged interest with online donations. Your donation will manually be added to the goal total as it is handed into the team. If you cannot, please donate with a debit card because the interest is only 4.9% as opposed to 7.9% if donating with a credit card.
