Aaron's medical treatment

Five years ago in August, while visiting Jakarta and living in Malaysia, I was struck by a neurological disease. Despite numerous attempts to recover, it’s been 1 step forward, 2 steps back. My condition eventually affected feeling in my face, senses and body, impacting my ability to work, or to lead a fully normal life. Some doctors believe it was poisoning, while others suspect an autoimmune disease, triggered by an infection which had given me spotted fever. Eventually, the illness also affected my lungs, senses and cardiovascular system. I became accustomed to this decline after about 3 years, during which I received less and less medical care. But there are still tests and treatments that haven't been tried. Some friends urged me to start a crowdfund, though I don't really use social media. 

These past five years, have been spent with a lot of time lying down, a lot of time alone, managing to do some copy-writing work through a laptop to survive. Despite the pain and setbacks, there are things I am supposed to do and owe others before I leave this world. I dream of working full-time again, exercising, regaining full feeling in my hands to play guitar, and visiting/hosting old friends. I also hope to finally form a band and publish my writing and poems for people to enjoy. This August marked the five-year anniversary of a battle I had already given up. I am seeking 1 last go at least a mini-life, with donations going directly to hospital treatments. Feel free to share this page on your social media.
