Almost Homeless

More Info

I've worked hard my whole life. I've never been a person who has asked for anything, but at this point I don't know what else to do. After getting laid off from my job in November 2023, I've been unable to secure a full-time position. My wife and I have exhausted our savings and are both working multiple part-time jobs. However, we still find ourselves unable to cover the bills and keep enough groceries in the house for our children. Next month, we will be looking into selling our home. That's the only foreseeable option we have before filing bankruptcy. Unfortunately, that will leave us struggling to find a place to live, as we don't know if we will be able to afford rent prices. Rent is quite high in Maine, for a place that can accommodate a family of 5. Again, this is not something I want to be doing—asking people for charity. I love my family though, so I have to try everything I can to take care of them. With gratitude,Rawley
