This year for my Spring Break 2017 I went to Oakland, CA with Sojourn Collegiate Ministry to volunteer with the Regeneration Church. While there we worked at the 1951 Cafe which trains and helps relocate refugees, helping them to learn job skills, set up a resume, find housing, etc. - helping them do whatever they need to get on their feet. During my time in Oakland I was also able to learn about diversity in the city. We listened to a panel of four different people of all different races who live in Oakland, and heard their experiences and challenges with regards to diversity and racism. Please help to support the work that I do with Sojourn Collegiate ministry and the alternative spring break I was able to spend volunteering and working with the Regeneration Church in Oakland, CA!! THANK YOU!!!
