  • Black Queer & Intersectional Collective needs office space!! We have a dream to purchase land and build sustainable living structures for our members and extended community. We are asking people to help us raise at least $80,000 for temporary office space for at least a year while we work on a vision for permanent sustainable office space in the future! Now, more than ever, do we need a safe and brave space that is our own. It isn’t a secret that Black radical LGBTQIA+ people fighting for abolition are heavily surveilled, intimidated, and targeted by the state. We need an office we feel the most comfortable to organize, plan our work, rest, and heal; this space would also be helpful in times of emergency or crises. Please support us on this journey to have a LGBTQIA+ space dedicated to the safety and well being of Black activists, organizers, and sex workers. We will continue to update our financial needs as they develop. We chose out $80,000 goal based on discussions with local grassroots and non-profits who currently have space and advised their annual rental and office fees.

Timeline -

Rent temporary office space - September 1st, 2020

Purchase office supplies, furniture, and specific needs/parking - October 1st, 2020
