Both Scholarship

Society has done a great job of steering young students towards the idea that there are certain majors that will undoubtedly breed success. Sadly that influence has negatively impacted our community’s viewpoint on “less lucrative” studies like the creative arts. In my personal experience I felt like business was the career I should pursue to be successful. I was also very interested in the study but nowhere near as passionate as I am about what I believe to be my creative prowess - music. I didn’t think I could pursue a career in business and music, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that there’s no limit to what we can pursue in our lives. In fact I believe that everyone should take the time to show love to the things that spark their interest. That’s why I wanted to start this program. The BOTH scholarship is geared towards college students majoring in business, who would like to continue their pursuit of the creative arts. The goal is to reassure students that they don’t have to choose only one profession. We want students to know that they have the ability to build out two homes in their lives where they can be successful. We hope that students will use these funds to continue growing in their creative journey. But we by no means require students to use these funds in this way. This scholarship is primarily meant to inspire students to follow all of their dreams not just the one mom and dad say is best.
