#BRAIDENSTRONG - Support Braiden's Fight!

Braiden David Flynn is up for the fight of his young life, and Melissa, Loren and Rowan are fighting right along side him.  We can help support them on their journey.

On November 10th, 2021 the Flynn family received a diagnosis for 16-year-old Braiden of Classic Hodgkin Lymphoma, with a 6-inch mass in his upper chest, between his heart and left lung.  Despite already spending 12 days at UC Davis Children's hospital, having gone through an initial biopsy and completed 5 rounds of chemo, Braiden is hanging in there.  We can help the family keep the fight going by assisting the Flynn's as they face the next journey down to San Diego so Braiden can undergo Proton Beam Radiation to kill the remaining cancer from his chest.  This treatment is cutting edge and will greatly reduce the risk to his heart and lungs.  It will also reduce the chances of him developing a 2nd cancer from the radiation.

The love from the community has been overwhelming.  The request to support the family financially has lead us to open this campaign and find an area where we think group funding can have the biggest impact on the family’s needs.

All donations from this campaign will go toward healthcare, medical and travel related expenses that the family will incur.  While we don’t know the full extent of how much total care will cost, we do know that portions of medical expenses will not be covered by the healthcare plan.  We will use these funds to cover as much of those costs as possible to ensure Melissa and Loren can focus all of their love and energy on Braiden.

Any funds from this campaign that are not used on the Flynn's healthcare, medical or travel costs will be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand (Foundation For Childhood Cancer).  We want to make sure the Flynn's are covered through this time, and any extra funds will go toward helping other families dealing with the same life changing diagnosis.

Melissa and Loren appreciate every penny donated to help Braiden fight this battle.  The love and kindness from the community has been amazing and the family thanks you from the bottom of their hearts.
