Literature & Lattes learned about Bread Break through The Bargain Basement, a small thrift store in Baltic, SD (a ministry of River Community Church of Dell Rapids that supports their Timothy Pastoral Apprenticeship program).
Each week, Bread Break volunteers bring in crates of bread, sandwiches, donuts, and other food items to share with local residents in need.
Seeing the joy on someone's face, hearing their words of gratitude in how the bread was just what they needed to get by that week, and knowing there is such a need made it an easy decision for Literature & Lattes to create a silent auction at their annual book event to help support this important ministry.
