We are Cherokee Trail High School Wrestling team. Cougars...building Champions on and off the MAT.

Hi! I am Coach Buck.  

I would like to begin by giving you a little history of Cherokee Trail Wrestling. Cherokee Trail High School is entering its 17th year and already has had a lot of success on and off the mat. The Cougars finished 2018-2019 year with 43 wrestlers, and Three State Qualifiers, and a STATE PLACER, Sam Hart placing 2nd. The Cougars will return many veterans including Andrew Chilton (2X State Qualifier), Brock LaBonde (State Qualifier), as well as many returning Regional Placers and letterman. The Cherokee Trail Wrestling Team also finished the season with a 3.38 GPA or the highest wrestling team GPA in school history, and 28 of the 43 members had a 3.0 GPA or higher. The 2019-2020 wrestling season looks very promising with the mixture of veterans and newcomers, and the schedule will provide "ALL" wrestlers with opportunity to be successful. The coaches are very excited to watch the many young men become "Champions Both On and Off the Mat" during the course of the 2019-20 school year.
