Today, IU Bloomington students are being asked to support IU Health Center - Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
With IU tuition, students receive two mental health counseling sessions per semester. Additional counselling is often at the student or parent’s expense.
Societal and cultural pressures are constantly affecting college students and who may experience mental health concerns for the first time during their time at IU. Many students experience considerable anxiety, mood problems, and developmental challenges.
To better serve students, CAPS has increased counselling staff, bringing the total clinical staff count up to 37. While this is good news, there are increasing numbers of students at IU Bloomington who are experiencing mental health crises and are in need for services.
Please consider making a gift this IU Day to the CAPS Development Fund, which provides general support to CAPS, including subsidizing counselling fees for students and assisting with medication costs.
A $500 gift challenge will be unlocked if 20 donors give to CAPS this IU Day.
