I joined TAC my freshman year. I grew close with the Teen Court committee and became a volunteer for the Teen Court program. Teen Court has helped me challenge myself to overcome my fear of public speaking as I stepped up to attorney positions to help peers in my community. 3 years later, I continue to volunteer and advocate for Teen Court! Sophomore year, I was on the Outreach committee where I urged students to join TAC through the biannual recruitment night. I was also part of the MAD grant screening process: it was truly inspiring to be able to approve and fund various service projects led by peers in my community. Last year, I joined the executive committee, becoming an Inreach co-chair with my best friend Robert. We both had an amazing time, helping new members as they began their TAC journey. This year, I am the Historian of TAC, serving an officer position. I’ve loved extending my love for photography to TAC, capturing joyful memories for members to reflect back on. YR has gifted me some of my closest friends and my fondest memories. YR has strengthened me as a person, all in the best interest of giving me the voice and power to help my community. Last year, YR helped extend my service project to students in TAC, collecting thousands of hygiene items that I was able to provide to those housed by the YWCA and Albion Fellows Bacon Center.
