About #GivingTuesday
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
About EDN's Work
Eritrean Diaspora Network (EDN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing Eritrean diaspora communities around issues of common concern, in a unique non-partisan approach. EDN believes that a critical component to overcoming the divisions within our community is to revive the profound kindness, goodwill, humility, and encouragement of one another, that our prosperity as a people has historically relied on. By providing our community a safe platform for constructive dialogue, we have been able to identify ways through which we can begin reviving these positive characteristics.
In doing so, EDN has has been able to prioritize programs that will compel members of our community to get involved, regardless of personal or political affiliations. We have already begun launching programs targeted around civic engagement, recent arrival support, and professional development. With your help we can be confident that these programs are well positioned to achieve our ultimate goal of building a stronger Eritrean Diaspora. Please support our efforts by donating on #GivingTuesday 2014, and sharing our cause with your friends and family.
Check out our BLOG for more information on EDN and our GivingTuesday efforts.
***Please note although EDN is working diligently to secure itself as a 501(c) (3) charitable non-profit, your gift will not be eligible as a tax deductible donation at this time ***
