We are all too familiar with the importance of urgency with Connie’s recent diagnosis of triple negative breast cancer and as a family, we are no stranger to monster it can be.
Connie is the universe to many; the whole world and more.
She is a mother to five amazing children, Mandie, Sophia, Margarette, Tony and Julian. She is a Grandma to Audrie and Theodore. In addition to the army, she is one of eight children; Margie, Johnny, Joey, Lucy, Rosie, David and Robert.
When I say we are, "all too familiar," I mean that this is not our first encounter with cancer, or our second, or our third.
Margie, Connie's sister, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed in 2018.
Sophia, Connie's daughter, was diagnosed with an aggressive strain of cervical cancer and passed in 2021.
Johnny, Connie's Brother, was diagnosed with prostate cancer and passed in 2021.
Rosie, Connie's Sister, was diagnosed with mouth cancer and passed in 2023.
We want to get in front of this by getting Connie into treatment as soon as we possibly can and our only obstacle is financial. As community, we want to provide Connie with the assistance she needs to get the treatment and resources she requires to beat this.
