I’m raising $20,000 to help me cover tuition for Biola University’s Doctor of Ministry program in Black Theology and my participation in the prestigious American Leadership Forum in 2025. Both opportunities represent lifelong dreams and pivotal steps in my journey as a scholar and leader. Both are opportunities that I am financing personally and doing so on a limited ministry income.

A Dream Rooted in Legacy

Education runs deep in my lineage. I come from a long line of scholars and change-makers, and earning this doctorate has been a goal for as long as I can remember. But this isn’t just about a degree—it’s about advancing justice and making a meaningful impact.

Why Biola?

Biola University is one of the most respected Christian institutions in the country, known for its academic rigor and commitment to integrating faith and learning. The Doctor of Ministry program’s emphasis on Black Theology is particularly critical for my work in addressing justice within evangelical spaces. Dr. Parnell Lovelace, the program’s dean and a longtime mentor, will serve as my advisor, ensuring my studies are both deeply personal and profoundly impactful.

Why the American Leadership Forum?

I’ve also been invited to join Class XXXI of the American Leadership Forum Mountain Valley Chapter, one of the most exclusive leadership networks in the nation. Very few people are nominated and even less are selected. This is a BIG DEAL.  To put this into perspective, both the current California Governor and the current Vice President of the United States came out of the Mountain Valley ALF Chapter. This incredible opportunity will connect me with influential leaders across diverse fields and open doors for collaboration and growth. I’ve been awarded a $4,000 scholarship toward the $13,000 program cost, but I still need to raise $9,000 to participate.

Every dollar donated up to the first $4000 will be matched by the Equity & Wellness institute

Both opportunities are transformative—not just for me, but for the communities I serve. Your support will help me step into these spaces equipped to lead, learn, and bring justice-centered change to the world.

Thank you for believing in this vision with me! Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can make this dream a reality.
