Dear Potential Donor,
We are a group of teens from FUN(d), A Teen Giving Circle hosted at 4Front, based at the Owings Mills JCC of Greater Baltimore. During the program, we will learn about philanthropy and the grant-making process through a Jewish lens. We will have the unique experience of fundraising for those living with a disability and going through a process to make grants to local organizations focusing on creating a community that is welcoming, accepting, and accommodating of all.
We have decided to allocate the fun(d)s we raise to organizations supporting those living with a disability. Specifically, these organizations will be centered around aiding people who live with a mental or physical disability through direct programs, supportive services and technologies, or advocacy.
Having a disability should not define you, yet it sometimes does. Through your generous donation, we seek to be able to alleviate the stresses placed on those whose lives are severely impacted by these disabilities.
