Project C.A.R.E. (Community Action Relief Effort) aims to provide care packages for the homeless in various neighborhoods of Santa Ana in Orange County. Ran by Global Medical Training at the University of California, Irvine, Project C.A.R.E. is an idea that has hopes to not only aid, but educate and assist theoverwhelming large population of homeless people in this area of Orange County. As part of this organization, we host health clinics in Nicaragua and various other South American countries during the spring and summer breaks. Going on these medical missions brought forth the reality of the conditions that many less fortunate people live in. On our trips, we not only host health clinics, but we also experience and interact with the people that live in these rural areas. We bring what we can to donate and give back as much as we can to the community. With Project C.A.R.E., we hope to help in very similar ways to individuals who need it back home -such as the homeless in Santa Ana. Your contribution will help purchase blankets, medical supplies, food, and other necessities that the homeless would be more than grateful to have.
