GoBabyGo is a student-led program through the Department of Physical Therapy at the IUPUI School of Health & Human Sciences. GoBabyGo provides ride-on, battery-powered vehicles with custom modifications for children with motor and cognitive developmental delays. These cars allow children to be independently mobile in their environment and progress towards individualized physical therapy goals in a new and exciting way. The modification process involves a thorough evaluation by physical therapy students to determine each child's individual needs and the modifications needed to adapt the car. GoBabyGo collaborates with Mechanical Engineering students at IUPUI to help modify the vehicles to meet the specific needs of the children.
As word continues to spread about this program, more and more children join our waiting list who could therapeutically benefit from an adapted car right now. On average, each car costs $500 to purchase and modify. Your gift can help enable a child in need to receive a life-changing and customized car to enhance their abilities to play! You will also be supporting a collaborative effort between physical therapy students and engineering students at IUPUI giving back to the Indianapolis community in an innovative way.
Our next Play Day will be April 19, 2020 - join us and help provide support to GBG families this spring!
