More Info

Open Squash is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making the game of squash—and all its health and social benefits—accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or experience level.  We believe that squash is more than a game; it's a movement that brings people together and empowers individuals to lead healthier and more connected lives.

With this in mind, we ask  you to donate to the Open Squash Junior Scholarship Fund.

Since we opened our doors in Bryant Park in 2020, it has been an incredible journey. Today, we have two community squash centers with the opening of Open Squash FiDi last month. And our Junior Academy is now serving over 150 students and growing.

Nearly 20% of our students are some form of financial aid and we plan to grow that number in 2024.

We couldn't have achieved these  milestones without your support. Thank you for being an integral part of our Open Squash community!

And with the recognition of squash as an official sport for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics (a testament to the perseverance of our squash community)  Open Squash is poised to play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding the talent pool of potential Olympians right here in New York City.

The  Open Squash Junior Scholarship Fund

This fund directly supports young athletes who aspire to play squash, regardless of their financial circumstances. These scholarships and financial aid opportunities enable us to offer coaching sessions, training, mentorship, and access to world-class facilities, ensuring that more young people can experience the benefits of squash.

Open Squash’s Junior Academy currently collaborates with several 501c3 community organizations and public schools including Hudson Guild, Gift Of Chess and Success Academy. These partnerships allow us to grow our outreach to young players in New York City who would not otherwise have access to squash.

As of the writing of this email over 30 children are receiving full scholarships, learning squash weekly, tuition free.  And to kickoff the new year, we will be partnering with Transfiguration School and PS 150 with more public school connections sought and currently in development.

This is where your support becomes pivotal.

Join us in ensuring that squash  continues to be inclusive and transformative, enriching lives and creating  opportunities for aspiring athletes.

Your generous donation to the Open Squash Junior Scholarship Fund can make an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of these young athletes. By contributing, you are not only investing in their futures but also helping to foster a sense of community, sportsmanship, and achievement that will stay with them throughout their lives.
