After spending two years in the heart of Africa with the Peace Corps, Jordan Blekking learned that rural villages in Africa suffer from food shortages during extreme weather conditions. His passion to solve this crisis would later became the focus of his work as an Ostrom Research Awardee. 

With the support of the Ostrom Workshop and the National Science Foundation, Jordan has formed a team to study the impact of climate change on food security in Zambia. 

Their goal? Fighting food insecurity in developing countries by analyzing weather patterns and how farmers adjust their farmings practices.
