One week ago, we reached out with a fundraising goal of $5,000 to help Puerto Rico recover from the devastating hurricane. In just under a day, we reached that goal together.
We've been so overwhelmed by the response of the HEATONIST community. We sent out the ask, and you amazing people heeded the call.
Over the last week we've crunched our numbers and decided to double down.
With love and gratitude, HEATONIST will match every dollar donated here, up to a new total of $10,000 USD. Our goal is to raise a combined $20,000 to help the people of Puerto Rico get back on their feet.
In February 2017, Team HEAT was able to visit Puerto Rico for some rest, rejuvenation, and of course to scout for new hot sauces. We explored the beautiful land, made amazing memories, and developed a connection to the island that will last a lifetime.
The wonderful people of Puerto Rico - our fellow Americans - are in desperate need of help. Two weeks ago the island was devastated by Hurricane Maria and millions are still without food, water, medicine and electricity.
We feel blessed to get to work in a business we love, with the most passionate chefs and wonderful customers you could ask for. With gratitude to our whole community around the world, HEATONIST will match every dollar donated here, up to a total of $5,000 USD. Our goal is to raise a combined $10,000 to help the people of Puerto Rico get back on their feet.
