I sincerely hope this message finds you well and surrounded by your loved ones. I wish I could share the same sentiment about my partner, Ethan, but it’s painful to say that he is still trapped in prison. Instead of receiving the essential care he requires in a psychiatric facility, he languishes without the support that could truly make a difference in his life.
Each day brings more heartache as I learn that he continues to be denied his psychiatric medications. The thought of him enduring this torment without proper treatment is unbearable; his mental health deteriorates further, and his life hangs in the balance with each passing moment.
It crushes me to think of the anguish he faces every day. The prison psychiatrist only seems to ask the most basic and terrifying questions, which only deepens Ethan's fear of expressing his true feelings. He’s caught in a constant cycle of dread, terrified of being sent to the HOLE. This ongoing threat makes it impossible for him to open up and share what he is truly experiencing. When family members try to reach him, they worry about which version of Ethan they’ll encounter—whether he’ll be the loving partner, the combative Anthony, or the fiercely defensive Tony.
I feel utterly powerless and overwhelmed by the helplessness of this situation. I am reaching out because I desperately need support and understanding. Please keep Ethan in your thoughts, and if there's any way you can assist us—any advice or help it would mean the world to us during this unbearably difficult time.
We have retained legal representation from Kyle D. Curson, Attorney at Law, in hopes of expediting Ethan's case as a medical emergency. With Kyle's help, we are striving to get him moved from prison into a Psychiatric Hospital where he can receive the critical medical care he so direly needs. Each time his family speaks with him, they express their growing concern as he sounds more and more hopeless, sinking deeper into despair. He feels as though he has no chance for better treatment, and that thought weighs heavily on my heart. Thank you for your compassion and understanding; it truly means everything to me.
In the first week of fundraising we have raised $1140. While helpful, we need to raise a lot more to be able to make things happen quickly enough to help Ethan during this very dangerous time in his health journey. Please share this with ANYONE you believe could help us, and if you can find it in your heart to make another donation Ethan and I would be eternally grateful.
