Teaching Kids About Farming, Animals, and Sustainability

I’ve always had a love for animals and farming, but after losing my mother, my connection to the land became more than just a passion—it became my healing. For me, caring for animals and growing my own food has been a form of therapy. I’ve seen how nature can nurture not just the land, but the heart.

Starting Kisha Farm wasn’t just about creating a farm—it was about giving children, especially those who may not have access to nature, a space where they can learn, grow, and connect with the world around them. I envision a farm where children can interact with farm animals, learn about growing food, and discover the magic of sustainable agriculture.

But, as with many dreams, making this vision a reality hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced setbacks—storms that damaged parts of the farm, financial hurdles, and countless sleepless nights. But I never gave up, because I believe in the power of what we’re building here. Kisha Farm is not just a place to grow crops and raise animals; it’s a place where kids can learn important life lessons about nature, responsibility, and healthy living.

The funds raised in this campaign will go directly toward building Kisha Farm into the petting, produce, and herb farm I’ve always dreamed of, with a focus on providing children with hands-on educational experiences. Here’s exactly where your support will make a difference:

✅ Animal Shelters & Fencing  – We need sturdy barns, coops, and fencing to create safe spaces for our farm animals (goats, chickens, ducks, and more).

✅ Children’s Learning Garden  – A space where kids can plant, nurture, and harvest fresh vegetables and herbs. This will teach them the fundamentals of gardening, the importance of healthy food, and the joy of working with the earth.
