Help me become a cabby and my own boss

Me, as a taxi driver?

I have an impeccable driving record, with no accidents or moving violations. I drive well and know my way around town, including many ways around traffic. I may need to drive a little less aggressively... for the composure of my passengers. But, I am a safe driver. I have always gotten my passengers safely home from clubs and raves... in my 36 years of driving! I also never let myself end up in precarious situations.

I rarely ask for help, but I really need this change in my life. A 50 year old admin assistant is not what I wanted to grow up to be. I started my career burning the candle at both ends, as well as in the middle. But, it's time for a career jump-start, time to become my own boss.

Losing my husband would become a life event I have been trying to recover from for a very long time. I am ready to move forward, but I need a little help from my friends and family. Please help me raise this seed money for my new career as a San Francisco cabbie.

The first $600 will pay for my applications, dues, fees, training, exams, and cab fees to begin. $80 is the fee for my fundraising campaign on this site. $120 is a buffer - remainder will go into a purse, so I can make change for my first passengers, and cover gas and any other starting costs out-of-pocket. 

My pockets are bare. My unemployment ends in six months. Right now, it covers rent, phone, internet, plus $300. My two kitties are priority over my needs. I have sold all my invested gold, which has kept me going for six months. My investments are gone and I have no buffer. I will lose my apartment, if I lose unemployment, and will need to decide where to go from there. This campaign for a new career will end this job and home uncertainty, and the poverty levels I have been experiencing for a very long time.
