When I was 19, I was abducted at gun point and tortured in an attic for months. I was reeling from severe PTSD, and but I still tried really hard to go to college, even while homeless. It didn't go great.

I'm not too private about my trauma. Many of you already know I was adbucted and held for months when I was young (I'm 45 now). But you may not know that as a kid I wanted to go into academia, and dedicate my life to learning and teaching. That's part of why I tried SO HARD to attend school when I was seriously mentally unwell, even living in a homeless shelter. It took me a long time to get stable, but first I blew a ton of money failing and dropping out of classes. I felt defeated and like my dreams were shattered. Now I want to finish my degree and be done with the resentment I have. It's time to just move forward. 

I set my goal to help me with tuition remaining and also cut down the amount of student debt I owe from all those dropped classes (yes, they still charged for them)
