Hello! My name is Ashley Williams, and I’m a special education teacher passionate about supporting students with autism. My family and I are preparing to embark on a life-changing journey this summer of 2025, and we need your help to make it happen.
I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to help open a new special education school in the UK that focuses on supporting children with autism. This school will offer personalized education, therapy, and a safe space for children to thrive and grow. I truly believe this is my calling, and it’s something I’m so excited to be part of. But this move is a big one – not just for me but my whole family.
We are a family of six: my husband, our four children, and me. Moving across the ocean is a huge step, and the financial burden of this transition is more than we can bear alone. We need to cover costs for things like:
Visa Applications: As a special education teacher moving to the UK, I will need to apply for a work visa, and our whole family will need visas to make the transition. These visas come with hefty application fees.
Travel Expenses: Flights for our family of six and the associated travel costs are a significant financial hurdle.
Settling Costs: Once we arrive, we’ll need to get settled—finding housing, setting up transportation, and getting our children enrolled in school, among other things.
As a teacher, I’ve dedicated my career to advocating for children with special needs, and this new school will allow me to impact students who need my support directly. This is an opportunity I couldn’t let pass by. But it’s also a huge move for our family, and your support will help ensure that we can make this dream a reality.
We’re aiming to raise $20,000 to cover the costs of the visa applications, travel, and settling in. Every contribution—no matter how big or small—will make a difference.
