I'm raising money to cover travel expenses, hotel stays, and necessary medical treatments and appointments. I am currently battling thynomia carcinoma, and these funds will help improve my health.

In April 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Thymic Carcinoma after experiencing trouble breathing and going to the ER. A chest x-ray revealed a lump near my lungs and heart. The next day, an oncologist confirmed the diagnosis.
I underwent intravenous chemotherapy treatments for four months, during which I lost my hair, experienced severe side effects, and struggled to find stable housing. It was an incredibly rough time, and I often felt embarrassed to leave my home. After completing chemotherapy, I had surgery to remove the tumor, but it was unsuccessful due to its proximity to other organs.
After recovering from surgery, I began taking a daily chemotherapy pill and sought a second opinion from Duke Hospital in Durham, NC. There, a specialist in my type of cancer informed me that I had been misdiagnosed and should never have undergone the initial surgery or the type of chemotherapy I received.
Currently, I am being treated at Duke Hospital and Baptist Hospital, and my tumor has been stable for almost six months. I recently had a CAT scan and will be meeting with my oncologist at Duke next week to review the results.
However, I do not have a license or a car and rely on friends and family for the 4-5 hour roundtrip commute to see my doctor. These funds will assist me with transportation to these necessary appointments, hotel stays if I need to stay overnight, and the cost of recommended medical treatments.
Your support would mean the world to me as I continue this challenging journey. Thank you for considering my cause!
