Growing up in a Hmong family split by generations of different lives and values I find myself more and more distant from my parents as I grow up in America. I came to discover that my parents interest was not that of my own and vice versa, as my dad would like hunting I would rather play hunting games, as he would want me to play "Qeej (traditional Hmong bamboo instrument)" I would rather play the guitar, as I celebrate holidays he would rather not find the importance in it. I spend so much time being different that I never realize we seldom have time together. To enjoy a simple laugh. A laugh that we can look back to remember.
On behalf of the more current generations here in America I believe that there are many Hmong families that can relate to my expierence.
From the producer of Tshajlij Production who brought you "The Crush" (Tus Kuv Hlub) and "A Real Hmong Haunted House." We are pursuing this Hmong Family Game Show to establish and promote family interaction and fun. Please help support. Thank you.
