Scientists and ecologists have been studying ecological connectivity for decades - the connections between resource patches, symbiotic relationships, predator and prey, population cycles, keystone species effects on ecosystems and more.
The connections between living things and their surrounding environment is both fascinating and crucial. Not one single organism on this planet can survive in isolation. Sure, organisms can be alone, but still need air to breathe, water to drink and dirt to stand on or take root in.
When we factor in the human element, the concept of connected conservation intensifies. And although bigger than any one person or organization, it is not bigger than us all - as a species. We, together, have the power to conserve and protect our planet. For Team MCDI, we feel an obligation to do so as there is no Planet B.
Uniquely, our organization also factors a dog into conservation. Dogs have been beside their human counterparts for thousands of years, co-evolving into two species so intertwined that we are now able to communicate with them and put that relationship to work to advance conservation efforts.
We believe the first step to conservation is finding the target/species of interest (be it invasive, endangered, or anything in between) and we need incredible, like-minded individuals like you to connect with our mission and join us as we save the planet, together.
Thank you in advance for supporting our campaign. This work is not possible without you!
