It has been a while since a post has been made on this page... To be honest, I was so skeptical about the effectiveness of our Fundly page. But I have been pleasantly proved wrong. There have been over 900 views of this page (granted, I'm sure about 100 of those were probably made by either myself or someone on my team) and over $500 in donations have been made! At the start of this whole thing, I remember discussing with one of my teammates about how much we should set our goal. I suggested $500 at first... And my teammate suggested $5000. I said that was CRAZY because I didn't think ANYONE would care to donate even $50. But I was so wrong.
We are so encouraged by the support that everyone has been giving us whether it was by just supporting our page or generously donating money. We cannot have gotten this far without all of this support.
Having said that, please continue to show us your support! We still have so much work do to before we can fly out to Urraco! We JUST purchased our flights this week so we are super excited.
So please continue to show us your love and support!
Thank you so much from all the volunteers!
God bless,

Rural areas of Honduras lack in adequate medical and dental treatment. Typically, no doctors are within a 20 mile radius and 80% of the population have no acces to dentists. In fact, 4 of 5 people in rural Honduras do not have access to dental care.
With dental caries as the most common preventable disease in the world, we hope to encourage the people of Honduras to care for their teeth and overall health. Through our efforts, we will provide a foundation for people to spread their knowledge of proper oral hygiene care to their families and friends.
When you make a donation to help us reach our goal of $3000, we will put your donation immediately to work in our efforts to provide dental care for the people of Honduras.
Our team of 15-20 dental students and practicing dentists will work with the founders of the International Christian School Urraco to provide dental treatment for the people of Urraco and El Bordo of San Pedro Sula. Your donation will be used to purchase supplies necessary to provide oral screenings, cleanings, extractions, and oral health instruction for approximately 600 people. In addition, a portion of your gift will be set aside and donated to the International Christian School Urraco to help them keep Honduran youth in school.
