Hello, my name is SETPHANIE RUTH. I'm 29 years old and I'm a teacher. Last week I was diagnosed with the need for hip replacement surgery or face a long period of pain and reduced mobility. But the high cost of surgery put a lot of pressure on my life.
As a teacher, I devoted my life to the cause of education, but the sudden illness interrupted my plans. My children are also struggling for a family and cannot afford my surgery.
For the past 10 years, I have been teaching in a village primary school. Every morning, I would welcome the children to come and study and play with them. Seeing their progress and growth gives me great pride and satisfaction. After retirement, I had planned to use my savings to travel and enjoy life, but the onset of illness forced me to put those plans on hold.
The doctors told me that a hip replacement was the only way for me to get rid of the pain and return to a normal life. But the cost of surgery and rehabilitation was a heavy burden on me and my family. My children also have families and responsibilities of their own, and they have tried their best to help me, but it is still not enough to cover all the costs.
