Today, I am calling on you to help us right a grave wrong. We are raising funds to defend Staff Sgt. Johnathan Morris, a decorated Marine veteran who served our nation with honor from 2011-2018, including a deployment in Afghanistan.

On February 6, 2023, Johnathan's family reached out to 911 during a severe PTSD episode, seeking urgent medical assistance. Tragically, the first responders, lacking the necessary training to handle such a crisis, escalated the situation. Amidst the chaos, an attempt to control the scene through force resulted in the critical injury of officer Sluganski. This heartbreaking misunderstanding has led to Johnathan facing severe accusations.

Johnathan is not just a decorated veteran; he is a symbol of how our society often fails those who have served us bravely. The narrative around this incident has been distorted, ignoring the critical evidence of negligence on the part of the responding officers. As Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. works to suppress this evidence, we must unite to demand justice and ensure the full truth is heard.

We cannot let Johnathan face these charges alone. His service, sacrifice, and current struggle demand our collective support and understanding. This is a call to action for all who believe in justice, compassion, and the rights of our veterans.

Your contribution to our GoFundMe campaign will directly support Johnathan's defense, ensuring he receives a fair trial. Together, we can make a powerful statement: we stand with those who have stood for us.

Please, join us in this fight for justice. Your donation, no matter the size, can make an immense difference in Johnathan's life. Let's show Johnathan and the world that we believe in a justice system that recognizes the complexities of mental health and honors the sacrifices of our veterans.

Thank you for your support.
