Kevin's Reboot 2015

Kevin's Reboot 2015

From Kevin Eubanks

I need help to pay extensive medical bills. After 4 hip surgeries, 2 broken feet, a broken ankle and a blow to the head resulting in bleeding on the brain, the bills have piled up. And to top it off, my computer died.

Update #4

Well, here we go again. I have had gall bladder problems for years, but over the last 10-15 years things have gotten much worse. Up until now, all of the doctors I have seen have told me that my gall bladder either wasn't the problem or if it was, it was not bad enough to remove.

But over the last two weeks, I have had severe problems which I won't go into now. Yesterday, I saw my doctor to complain again how bad things were getting. He examined me and ordered some blood tests and an Ultrasound. Early this morning I get a call from him saying he has gotten me an appointment to see a surgeon today (actually the call was around 8 for a 9:30 appointment.) The surgeon says I have gall stones and the bladder will have to be removed. But it probably couldn't be done Laproscopicly. Instead, he is trying to send me to St. Louis University Hospital, since I already have a liver specialist that I am seeing for liver disease.

But here is the weird part; all I can think of is how much it will cost, can I afford the co pays, how much of a strain will this put on my wife? I don't feel afraid even though this situation is medically very serious, since I have so many pre-existing conditions. I just don't care about that.

I want to thank my anonymous donor and two other supporters. You have all given me hope. If I could just get more donors so that my wife and I wouldn't have to worry so much about this new set of expenses, I could relax a bit and maybe even get a nights sleep.

Thanks again to all who have supported me in this time of need. You are all heroes to me!

Here is a photograph of some of the 28 meds I take every day. The co-pays really take a bite out of our budget. So does the trips to the 11 Specialists I see every 6-8 weeks. Your donation could help shore up the hole in our budget long enough to get back to normal. Thank you in advance!

Update #2

I know that friends and family have read this. I know that money is tight for a lot of people. If you can't afford to drop me a dollar, don't . Please don't feel obligated to give if you can't afford it or if you just don't want to. I love all my family and friends and I don't want you to feel like you should give. Just a word of support will be appreciated.

Update #1

Hello!

Well, the campaign is underway. It ends on April 2, 2015. So 59 days to reach my goal. I'm nervous because I've never even considered something like this. I've always thought we could make it. But I found that I needed help. Won't you help by donating a dollar or two and give us some help. We would appreciate it.
