Knocked down but getting up again

Knocked down but getting up again

From Richelle Oliver

Hi, I'm here trying to help my good friend and her family. She's the sole breadwinner of a family of seven and was fired last year due to her whistleblowing. Now she's on the verge of eviction, before her new job starts.

I started this to help my friend, Tavi. She's the sole provider for her family of seven. It's her, her partner, and their five kids, ages 11 to 2. Towards the end of last year, she was fired from her job in HR/payroll due to some ethical issues. Since then she has been doing delivery driving to try and supplement but no new job will hire her. Its gotten to a point where she asked for rental assistance and was approved but due to some miscommunications between the assistance organization and the third party that was supposed to send payments. My friend found out that she was not on their list. So needless to say the landlord didn't hesitate to send them to eviction court. Her partner sadly, is not well but is able to help with the kids and around the house. They have been through so much these past months and yet they still keep optimistic. She'd be a tad upset with me for posting this because she'd say there are others in worse situations. But in my mind, when you're on the verge of becoming homeless then something has got to give.

Thank you for reading and I do hope you can help me help her.
