Thanks to the support of our donors, we raised $2,000 during our Winter Solstice Drive! Your generosity helped KPL continue its work indoors during the challenging winter months.

Preparations are under way for the pre-Losar pujas next week and Losar on Feb. 27. Please join us! We look forward to seeing you!

This concludes our Winter Solstice fund drive. Thank you!

More Info

It's been an exciting year at Kunzang Palchen Ling! Each passing month brought us closer and closer toward completion of our building and the excitement is palpable.

In 2016 alone, we've completed:

  • Completion of Buddha statue
  • Alarm system and HVAC installations
  • Elevator installed and operational
  • New automatic generator transfer switch installed
  • Retreat rooms completed (second floor, lower level)
  • Floor installations completed (second floor, lower level)
  • Doors and windows installed and trimmed (second floor)
  • And more everyday!

As the building construction begins to wind down sometime in the near future, KPL's financial focus will turn towards raising funds for its operational expenses.

KPL operates on a conservative budget and pays careful attention to its expenses. Our General Fund covers the following (but not limited to):

  • Utilities (electric, heating, water)
  • Shrine supplies (incense, saffron, rice, etc.)
  • Food
  • Household supplies
  • Office supplies
  • Computer/Internet
  • Transportation
  • Insurance
  • Professional fees

KPL continues to rely on your membership and individual donations to keep us operating. At Rinpoche's request, we'll be expanding these efforts by launching quarterly fund drives.

We invite you to generously participate in our first Winter Solstice Fund Drive for a goal of $10,000! Our Winter Drive is especially important for covering heating and maintenance costs during what is typically our "quiet" months with less teaching programs.

100 donors contributing $100 each and/or 200 donors contributing $50 reaches our goal!

[Checks may also be mailed to KPL, P.O. Box 205, Bearsville, NY 12409, Subject Line: Winter Drive]

As a friendly reminder, monthly and/or one-time membership donations are another easy way to support KPL.

We ask for your generous assistance in the coming year to continue to support our unique dharma home.

Thank you!
