It is our pleasure to announce our upcoming philanthropic event, Delta Gamma Anchor Freeze. The actual date of the event has yet to be determined, but will be sometime during the fall semester. The event provides an excellent opportunity for both Kent State students and community members to raise awareness of visual impairments as well as support those affected by these disabilities.
All proceeds from this event will be channelled through the Delta Gamma Foundation in order to provide resources for education growth and philanthropic service. The Foundation, dedicated to the cause now titled Service for Sight, focuses their efforts on both Sight Conservation and Aid to the Blind.
The event is based solely on donations and sponsors; our chapter has been working hard to raise money all year long. Our event, Anchor Splash, last year raised just under $12,000 and this year with our new event, Anchor Freeze, we have a goal of $18,000. We hope Anchor Freeze will be established as a new, yet still influential, philanthropic event that is held on Kent State University’s campus. The sisters of Delta Gamma would like to extend an invitation to you for the event itself, as well. We thank you for your time and look forward to your sponsorship. If you have any questions, comments or concerns or would like to purchase tickets to Anchor Freeze, please do not hesitate to contact Kalee Donofrio at (440) 371-7182 or Alli Hubbell at (614) 530-2726. Thank you again for your support.
