UPDATE: Larry's Bench Celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 13 at 2pm at the Upper Door at the Community Center (on 8th Street).

UPDATE 08.13.22: The bench is finally here! In front of the Community Center in Golden facing the 8th Street. We are in the process of organizing the little get together for all the nice people who donated and showed their support, so please watch this space for further updates!

We did it! We have enough money to order a bench! Thank you so much for donating and for your words of support and encouragement. I will talk with Golden Parks and Recreation rep next week and the plaque should go on a bench this spring!!!

Dear neighbors, friends, and everyone who found it in their heart to donate to this cause! We did it. We actually have enough funds for the bench.

I'll contact City of Golden representatives after the New Year and we should be able to get that plaque in time for spring. We also need to start thinking about wording on the plaque, what should it say to let people know who Larry was and why we wanted to honor him.
