Lehla's AAU Basketball

Lehla is a talented and hardworking basketball player. In her junior year, she was named by the Minneapolis coaches to the All-City Team, leading Minneapolis players in rebounds. She has been accepted on an AAU Basketball team again this summer to improve her skills and give her exposure to college scouts who may recruit her for their basketball programs and provide her with a scholarship. However, there are tournaments in Philadelphia, Chicago and Milwaukee that Lehla would like to attend if possible, but she has to pay all expenses, including flights, hotels, etc. Also, the cost of the program itself is $1,200 per athlete. She has done some fundraising activities, but without some help, it will not be possible to attend these tournaments. I'm hoping we can chip in what makes sense to each of us to help her out.

UPDATE: A quote from a scout that the latest AAU tournament:

"#44: Lehla Gaulden - tons of potential. I thought she got better each game and is just scratching the surface of how good she can be."

She was the 4th leading scorer in the tournament, and certainly near the top in rebounds and other categories.
