We're excited to welcome, Emma Ferrer to LSNA's Immigration Team! Here's why she's running:
"As the immigration crisis grows on a national level, each and every one of us must work to fortify our own communities and protect our most vulnerable. LSNA is at the forefront of community models for equity and their work on immigration justice makes the Chicago community stronger."

We support LSNA because:
We are acting locally. LSNA is currently working with 40 member groups (churches, schools, and other non-profits) to assure that we uphold the values of love, restoration, connection, culture and empowerment in this barrio as an example to other neighborhoods in this city and country.
LSNA is unabashedly, 100% pro-immigrant. We know and love our neighbors. We also know that our economy is more robust, our democracy is healthier, and our country is stronger because immigrants have endured great personal sacrifices to bring their families here to escape political and economic violence and embrace opportunity.
LSNA is committed to building a safety network that protects and supports our most vulnerable neighbors. There are three main ideas that currently help guide our efforts in creating a sanctuary network in this neighborhood.
Raise awareness and support of immigrants and other marginalized groups
Help vulnerable families decrease their sense of isolation
Promote and protect their safety
For the past 57 years, Logan Square Neighborhood Association/Leaders Shaping Neighborhood Action (LSNA) has cultivated community leaders and mentors who are passionate about making a difference in affordable housing, community schools, early learning, parent engagement, youth development, and immigration.
To continue the momentum of uplifting our passionate and hardworking leaders, please support and join LSNA for the Bloomingdale Trail Run on Saturday, July 27th to highlight and honor their transformative work.

Marcelo Ferrer, LSNA's Director of Immigration Services, is excited to run for LSNA for the third year in a row on the Immigration Team. This cause is near and dear to his heart for many reasons. As a refugee from Chile, he knows first hand the ways in which immigrants need assistance. Marcelo has dedicated his career, on and off the track, to helping the most vulnerable of his neighbors understand their rights, navigate the legal system, receive and renew their DACA statuses, and much more. LSNA is grateful for all the work Marcelo does and we can’t wait to see him finish the 8k at Bloomingdale Trail Run!
