Sense of Security and Breasts of Colorado Breast Cast Fundraiser

My mother died as a result of breast cancer in 2001. In 2012, two of my sisters were diagnosed. My young neice was also diagnosed. This is a fundraiser close to my heart. 

I wanted to participate because the monies raised go directly to the people with breast cancer that need help paying their bills. This isn't about research, but real time help when it's needed most.

I had my breasts cast in plaster and I'm now in the process of decorating the cast. I need a minimum of $300 to participate. I've worked very hard preparing my cast and will keep adding photos as I decorate it for auction. Usually the artist and person who volunteers to be cast are two different individuals. This is a great opportunity to introduce this idea to other states and cities as well.

Breasts of Colorado is an art exhibit proudly based on similar art shows held by California's Keep-A-Breast Foundation and Tulsa, Oklahoma's Breast Impressions. Join us for a reception in Englewood's city center to unveil this year's breast casts and kick off the upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.

Painted breast casts will be sold with 100% of the proceeds to benefit Sense of Security.
