More Info

The Marybelle Chew Scholarship Fund was formed on June 28, 2013 by Marybelle's children:

Marion Hutchings, Joyce Poole, Larry Chew, Patricia (Anderson) Tanner and Ingrid Coby. Two of Marybelle's children (Sandra Harrell and Clarence Matthews) preceded her in death.

Marybelle was the family Matriarch and consistently encouraged her children to strive to do well in school.  She did not complete high school, but recognized that a good education would open many doors for her children.  The scholarship fund was established for the purpose of providing financial assistance to the family's children who desire to attend a college or university after receiving their high school diploma.
