The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) & Mike Denoma are thrilled to announce a unique fundraising initiative in support of the launch of the GMCNgine v2.0 (Global Missing Children Network Engine). This groundbreaking tool will enhance global efforts to locate and recover missing children, offering unparalleled resources and connectivity to families and law enforcement agencies worldwide.
In a creative and symbolic gesture, the fundraiser will feature an exclusive piece of digital art depicting the journey that ultra-endurance athlete Mike Denoma will undertake during the Bigfoot 200, a gruelling 208-mile race through the incredible Cascade Mountains, in August 2024. This journey not only represents the physical and emotional challenges faced by those searching for missing children but also highlights the dedication and perseverance required in these efforts.
The artwork is painted on a brick-wall consisting of 1,000 individual bricks, each symbolizing a step towards the launch of the GMCNgine v2.0. Supporters can contribute to this cause by purchasing a piece of a brick or an entire brick. Each brick can be sponsored by individuals for $1,000, and contributors will have their names permanently inscribed on the artwork, which will be displayed on the ICMEC website for all to see. In total this fundraiser aims to raise $1m to support the launch and roll-out of the GMCNgine v2.0 globally.
This online digital monument will serve as a lasting tribute to the supporters of Mike Denoma and their commitment to protecting children and supporting families in their most vulnerable times. The funds raised will be instrumental in launching the GMCNgine v2.0, which will provide real-time data, facilitate international co-operation, and improve the speed and effectiveness of missing children investigations.
As conflicts continue to flare up around the world, the vulnerability of children to trafficking and exploitation intensifies. Trafficking not only robs children of their innocence but also exposes them to unimaginable dangers and abuse. The GMCNgine v2.0 aims to be a crucial tool in combating this heinous crime by enhancing global cooperation and enabling faster, more coordinated responses to locate and rescue missing and exploited children.
"Every brick purchased not only helps us build the GMCNgine but also stands as a beacon of hope for families and children around the world," said Mike Denoma. "We invite everyone to become a part of this historic initiative and to help us create a safer world for children everywhere."
