After experiencing very difficult health issues over recent years, my cousin Mike expressed a deep desire to come and visit me on the island of Maui. His heart's desire was to go deep sea fishing in Hawaiian waters. Sadly upon his arrival his health took a dire turn very quickly. What we hoped was jet lag, turned out to be a response to a much more aggressive lung cancer than the family knew was occurring. Mike did get to go fishing with his family, but after that, the rest of the trip was focused on the ER, hospital days, tests, scans, delirium, and most recently, the inability to swallow. With much sadness, Mike's wife Nikki admitted Mike to Maui Island Hospice on 9.11.2024. Mike will soon be coming to my home to finish his earthly journey. So, it is with great humility that we are asking for some help from our family and friends to defray expenses such as medical bills, the hospice journey, end of life expenses and before too long, we will be bearing funeral expenses as well. Thank you for any help you can provide Mike and Nikki at this very difficult time.
