Mines Rugby needs money to continue their journey on becoming the best in the country. They travel to California in three weeks and need funds to pay for airfares and accommodations.

While the team didn't achieve their ultimate goal this season in winning a national championship... the team had a heck of a season! The kind of season to remember and be proud of... as players, coaches, alumni, fans, supporters.
This year's team went as far as any team of recent memory and is poised for another strong season next year with many starters returning. This year's team played above their weight and showed that Mines students are just as able on the field as they are in the class room.
Your financial support has significantly helped offset the cost required by the students to compete in the playoffs. Specifically, bringing the cost of travel/hotels from nearly $1,000 per person down to just under $200 per person... for the playoffs in Texas and California. The funds raised will be matched by a special gift program through the school, which will help maximize the impact of the funds raised.

The NSCRO National Championships will be this weekend in Glendale. Get out and watch, there should be some top notch rugby on display... including Cal Maritime (who knocked Mines from the playoffs) taking on New England College. Both programs are full time varsity sports at their schools. St Johns (Minnesota) will be there as well. they are the two time defending national champions.
