In Uribia, Colombia, indigenous communities face severe health disparities, particularly in maternity care and pediatric health services. The goal of this mission is to bridge this gap by providing prenatal care, maternal health services, pediatric checkups, and basic healthcare education.
Many families do not have access to regular medical care, and their rural location makes emergency care difficult to access. To carry out this mission effectively, our team requires:
Medical Equipment for Maternity Use: Portable ultrasounds, delivery kits, sterilization equipment, essential medications for labor and delivery to ensure safe deliveries.
Pediatric Equipment: Portable incubators, baby warmers, stethoscopes, infant scales, oxygen concentrators, and vital sign monitors.
Technology & Communication Equipment: Walkie-talkies and a portable satellite modem to allow our medical team to maintain communication in areas without cell coverage, facilitating timely care and logistical coordination.
By making a positive impact on the lives of the impoverished. Together we can turn poverty into a thing of the past through love. - Astrid Fidelia, Co-Founder, Stand Up To Poverty
