NaShuntae's Gift

NaShuntae Pleasant-Miles was the deeply respected and influential 1999 Washington DECA State President from Pasco High School. She passed away from a brain tumor in 2003. NaShuntae's Gift is an annual scholarship to honor a Washington DECA member who demonstrates outstanding achievements through perseverance. The scholarship is supported by NaShuntae's family and alumni of the Washington DECA State Officer Program.

Criteria

• A graduating senior who is also a member in good standing with Washington DECA
• Enrolled in or planning to enroll in a two-four year post secondary program, scholarship will be paid directly to the school
• Demonstrate DECA excellence
• Articulate challenges faced and steps take to persevere
