About My Campaign

On the morning of October 9th 2011 my fraternity's chapter house suffered a devastating fire. The residents all escaped safely, but the firemen of NOFD fought at risk to their own lives to control the blaze.

In recognition of their efforts, I aim to raise at least $1000 to give to their organization, Friends of the NOFD. To sweeten the pot, if the amount above is raised by October 9th 2013, I will shave my beard, which I have been growing since that day almost two years ago.

Anyone that wants to make a donation to the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) may do so through the Friends of NOFD, which was founded in 1994. It is a non-profit corporation created for charitable, educational and social welfare purposes to assist the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD).

ALL PROCEEDS will go to Friends of the New Orleans Fire Department.

Friends of the NOFD Priorities

• To operate, maintain and promote the NOFD's Fire Museum
• Disseminating information concerning fire safety, prevention and education
• Commemoration of those NOFD members who died in the line of duty
• To honor NOFD members for outstanding duty and service to the citizens of New Orleans and
• Rendering educational, social services and assistance in fire safety and prevention to the general public and the members of the NOFD.
