This summer I'm saying good bye to my 20s and hello to my 30s! For my 30th birthday, help me raise $3000 in support of Oakland Kajukenbo Kwoon. Every donation counts!

As I look back on the last 30 years, and look forward to the next, I can't help but think of my martial arts training as one of the most impactful, transformative, and important parts of my life. I began training with my teacher, Sifu Kate Hobbs, when I was 5 years old and I continue to train with her regularly. In addition to my physical skills, I attribute my focus, discipline, and commitment to my martial arts training. Your contribution helps make these experiences available to students everywhere. Let's help fund the next generation!
Oakland Kajukenbo Kwoon is a community martial arts school for people of all ages, founded by Sifu Kate Hobbs in 2006. The mission of the school is to provide high quality Kajukenbo training for children and adults with an emphasis on good health, self-defense, community building and leadership development. Oakland Kajukenbo Kwoon comes directly out of the tradition of practicing martial arts to plant confidence and power and to harvest social justice and peace.
We offer classes on a sliding scale of $1-$10 a class, allowing students to participate in the program for as little as $12 a month. We believe that the physical skills, leadership development, and community that we foster should be accessible to all young people, families, and adults.
