My mom Arnita Ponce passed away in a tragic apartment fire in San José California on January 14, 2019.
My family and I are working to pay for the funeral costs that is a challenge. Anything you are able to do is appreciated and will help us during this difficult time for our family.
I am in the 11th grade and my brother is in the 8th grade. My brother and I will continue to stay as focused on our education as possible and push through to get to college as it was the dream of our mom and is the dream for our dad. Although our mom isn’t here physically, we will continue to make her proud. My mom always smiled even through difficult times. We too will work to do the same and keep smiling for my mom. We know our mom is with us each step of the way in spirit. We miss our mom but are thankful for the teaching of everlasting love our mom had for us.
My mom Arnita is survived by her husband my dad Augustin Sr., son Augustin Jr., and me her daughter Angelica Ponce. My mom always worked to be joyful in difficult situations. Our family will greatly miss my mom, but her loving tender spirit will live on through me and my brother for evermore.
