Emergency food, water and medical care for Rohingya communities fighting for their lives in Burma!

The UN calls them one of the most persecuted minorities in the world, yet few know their name. Their houses are burnt and communites sent running. Yet nobody intervenes.
CNN calls them the forgotten people. A US Senator accuses Burma of war crimes.
In recent weeks, the growing violence has displaced more than 110,000 Rohingya people. Villages are being burnt, people are being abducted, concentration camps are being created, women are being raped and children killed. The persecution against the Rohingya can be described in no other terms but that of ethnic cleansing and genocide.
Now is the time to act.
Because the Burmese government is blocking aid to the Rohingya, many are going without food, water, and medical care. The UN says that millions of dollars in aid are needed, but even they are not being allowed in to provide aid.
All funds raised will go to trusted, relationally-connected relief groups actively providing emergency assistance and medical care, primarily in Rakhine state - the epicenter of recent violence. It is this place that harbors the most refugees as well as the highest population of Rohingya.
Your gift will go directly to buy and deliver emergency supplies of essential food (vegetables, oil, spices, tea, etc) and rice in 11 already identified locations. 2 of these locations are ethnically mixed, while 9 are primarily Rohingyan.
Each of these locations is in great need, and our partners there tell us the needs are overwhelming and unlimited.
All of the donated funds will be spent on this project, and a full accounting of the use of the funds will be provided in the months ahead.
Every time we hit a $500 threshold, we will withdraw funds from the Fundly campaign and immediately send it via wire transfer to our project coordinators in Burma.
Note: We, the fund-raisers, will not take any admin fees. All donations go to providing emergency supplies in Rakhine state.
Share the video on Facebook and Twitter and inform your friends and family of the situation. Blog about it. Get more people involved. Use the links here (on this page) or head to our Project Rohingya mini site and check out the ways you can help.
With enough support, our governments will have no choice but to take action. Contact your congressman or other elected offcial today.
Organisations out there are doing everything they can. With your support, they can do so much more. Continue to seek out and give to trusted organizations, as you are able.
