Without warning, and without the required permissions, Rayneau Construction Company is setting up a massive industrial plant right next to our homes.
This facility includes a quarry, a concrete batching operation, and an asphalt plant—all rolled into one. The dust, the fumes, the noise—it will be constant and it’s dangerous. Already, children and elders in our community are reporting breathing issues. Our crops are being left to rot because farmers can’t reach their lands due to road damage caused by the heavy machinery. The company denies responsibility.
Worse still, Rayneau has begun digging near our protected area, destroying mangroves and displacing historical artifacts.This reckless move endangers marine life and disrupts the delicate balance of our coastline.
